Rafiqul Haque

Dr. Rafiqul Haque is a researcher, technologist, and innovation leader working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data ecosystems, and digital transformation. His work bridges academia and industry, advancing the development of trustworthy, AI-enabled infrastructures across Europe.

He is a Senior Research Fellow at Insight, the SFI Centre for Data Analytics at the University of Galway, and Director of Research and Innovation at Intelligencia. He brings over 17 years of experience across AI, data analytics, entrepreneurship, and education. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of Limerick and is a recognized Expert for the European Commission, actively contributing to the Strategic Research, Innovation, and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) to help shape Europe’s digital future.

Dr. Haque has led and contributed to projects funded by the European Union, Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) in France. In addition to his academic work, he remains active in the IT industry, focusing on product management, project delivery, and AI-driven solution design.

He has held research roles at leading institutions across Europe, including SAP Research, Université de Versailles, Telecom St-Étienne, and Tilburg University. He has published his research in top-tier international journals and conferences, contributing to the advancement of AI, data spaces, and digital innovation. He currently serves as co-chair of the project networking track at ESWC 2025, fostering collaboration and visibility for cutting-edge research and innovation projects
